Update: Investigation into Shooting at 2201 West Holcombe Boulevard

April 7, 2015 - A female victim shot at 2201 West Holcombe Boulevard about 5:15 p.m. on April 2 has died, and investigators say charges against the suspect will be upgraded.


The victim, Elizabeth Jacquot, 47, of Houston, was shot multiple times and transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced dead on Monday (April 6). The suspect, Austin Birdow (b/m, 44), is charged with aggravated assault in the 228th State District Court. That charge will soon be upgraded to murder. A photo of Birdow is not available at this time.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer M. Condon and Officer C. Liu reported:

Ms. Jacquot was walking from her workplace to her car when her boyfriend (Birdow) shot her multiple times and then fled the scene.

Birdow was located in Austin, Texas, and taken into custody without incident the following day (April 3). He remains in the Williamson County jail awaiting transfer to Harris County in coming days.
