Investigation into Human Remains Found at 2900 Katy Freeway

April 27, 2015 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on human remains discovered at 2900 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday (April 26).


It is unknown if the remains are of a male or female.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Garcia and Officer J. Horn reported:

Members of Texas EquuSearch were canvassing an area at the above address when they discovered human remains and called police. Investigators arrived and determined the remains were a lower torso of a human. An autopsy will be conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine an identity of a victim and cause of death.
