The male victim, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene in the Texas Spur 5 incident. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dukes and Officer N. Luu reported:

The victim was found deceased in a shallow ditch near the above address on Texas Spur 5 about 3:05 p.m. on Monday. A silver Dodge vehicle emblem and other vehicle debris believed to be from a black Dodge Ram pickup truck was recovered near the victim's body. Investigators believe the victim was actually struck sometime in the late afternoon of the previous day (Sunday).

Further investigation led to evidence showing suspect Boudreaux is believed to have been involved in three separate crashes on Sunday (April 26). The first was a major crash at 6601 Fannin about 3:30 p.m. The second was the above hit-and-run crash at 4400 Texas Spur 5. The third was the fatal crash at 1400 Lockwood about 6:10 p.m. in which a 6-year-old boy was killed. Boudreaux was taken into custody at the Lockwood scene without incident.

The additional charges in the Texas Spur 5 crash were filed while Boudreaux was already in custody for the fatal crash at 1400 Lockwood.
