Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 1900 West Sam Houston Parkway North Service Road

January 2, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1900 West Sam Houston Parkway North service road about 1:55 a.m. on Thursday (January 1).
 
The female victim, 25, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she later died.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer M. Tamez reported:  

The woman, driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck, and a male 24, driving a black Cadillac CTS-V, were travelling southbound on the Sam Houston Parkway service road.  For reasons unknown, both vehicles made contact causing them to leave the roadway.  Both vehicles then struck a building at the above address.  The female driver of the Dodge was ejected and the driver of the Cadillac suffered minor injuries.  Both were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital.  The female, who was approximately 25 weeks pregnant, had an emergency surgery to deliver her baby.  The baby remains in the Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Memorial Hermann Hospital.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
