UPDATE: Enhanced Surveillance Video Released in Fatal Shooting at 2623 North Freeway

January 15, 2015 - Houston police have re-released enhanced surveillance video of three suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 2623 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 9 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 9).

The suspects are described only as three Hispanic or Middle Eastern males, armed with long guns and hand guns.  The enhanced surveillance video of the wanted suspects can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/GnfziVbM4dU

The victim, Michael Phelan, 36, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer M. Condon and Officer C. Liu reported:

Three male suspects entered the 45 Smoke Shop at the above address and shot Mr. Phelan.  They then fled the scene in what is believed to be a dark colored, possibly black, vehicle.  At this time, there is no known motive.
