Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3300 State Highway 6 South

June 15, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred at 3300 South State Highway 6 South about 2:05 a.m. today (June 15).


The male victim, a pedestrian, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer M. Pritchard reported:

The driver of a gray Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on State Highway 6. The victim was walking between the outside shoulder of Hwy 6 and the main lane of traffic when he was struck by the Camry. The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the Camry, who remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication. He was questioned and released.
