Investigation into Man's Death at 5663 Yale

June 15, 2015 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man at 5663 Yale about 4:20 p.m. last Friday (June 12).


The victim, identified as John Smith, 61, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. His cause of death is pending an autopsy examination by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Colbert and R. Klementich reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address. Upon arrival, they observed Mr. Smith sitting in the front seat of a vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle doors were locked and the keys were inside. There were no signs of a struggle nor did Smith have any obvious injuries. Witnesses last reported seeing Smith the previous afternoon (June 11).
