UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Robbery Investigation

March 16, 2015 - A suspect wanted and charged in at least two robberies that occurred in north and southeast Houston since January has been arrested.    

The suspect, Larry Taylor, 33, was taken into custody by deputies from the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable's Office.  He is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 180th State District Court.  Photos of suspect Taylor are attached to this news release.  

Taylor is believed responsible for robberies at the following locations:  

  • Family Dollar  - 610 West Cavalcade on January 10
  • Shell Service Station  - 3505 Gulf Freeway on January 11



In both incidents, Taylor entered the business wearing a black hoodie, armed with a gun, and robbed the location.  A surveillance photo from the Family Dollar incident is attached to this news release.  Surveillance video from the Shell Service Station robbery can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/vyZur6JifKI

On March 4, Harris County Precinct 6 deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1900 block of Runnels and determined Taylor was a passenger in the vehicle.  He was immediately taken into custody without incident.
