Investigation into Man Found Deceased at 5100 Westpark Tollway

May 27, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 5100 Westpark Tollway about 7 a.m. today (May 27).  

The identity of the man, 31, who showed no apparent signs of trauma, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Senior Police Officer R. Martinez reported:  

Harris County Precinct 5 Constable deputies responded to a report of a deceased male found near a submerged red, Ford F-150 pickup truck.  The vehicle was found as water was drained from a flooded area by the Harris County Toll Road Authority.  HPD officers recovered the victim's vehicle and found no indications it had been involved in an accident.  

Investigators believe the man drowned due to flooding, however, the cause of death is pending autopsy results.
