Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7500 South Freeway

May 29, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash a 7500 South Freeway (State Highway 288) about 3:10 a.m. today (May 29).  

Two female victims, 17 and 18, were pronounced dead at the scene.  Their identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer M. Tamez reported:  

Four females inside a black Nissan Rogue were traveling southbound on the South Freeway when, for unknown reasons, the driver began weaving from lane to lane.  She then lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway.  The Nissan went up a hill and underneath the Holly Hall overpass.  The vehicle then struck a cement pillar and flipped.  The female driver and one passenger died at the scene.  The two other female passengers, 17 and 18, were transported by HFD paramedics to Memorial Hermann and Ben Taub General Hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.  

The investigation is continuing.
