Investigation into Apparent Suicide at 2200 Willowick Road
March 28, 2017 - Houston police have learned the identity of a woman who died in an apparent suicide at 2200 Willowick Road about 10:45 a.m. on Monday (March 27).
The victim, Valerie B. McDaniel, 48, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has been confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers J. Villareal and W. Huff reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a suicide just-occurred call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Houston Fire Department paramedics already at the scene. Paramedics pronounced McDaniel deceased. A note detailing instructions concerning her final wishes, as well as sealed letters addressed to family members, were found inside her apartment.
