Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Female's Death at 11009 Katy Freeway

August 23, 2019 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a female found at 11009 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 3:30 a.m. on July 30.

The suspect, Joshua Dominic Bourgeois (b/m, 25), is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. He is accused in the death of Tracy Williams, 22, also known as Tracy Single, a transgender woman.  An autopsy revealed her manner of death as a homicide.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers B. Evans and T. Tyler reported:

Patrol officers responded to a person down call in the parking lot of the business at the above address and located a female lying in the parking lot.  She had sustained a puncture wound and severe lacerations.

Further investigation identified Bourgeois, who had been in a dating relationship with Williams, as the suspect in this case.  He was taken into custody on Friday (August 23) without incident and charged for his role in Williams' death.
