Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7800 Martin Luther King Boulevard
December 30, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7800 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 7:05 p.m. last Friday (Dec. 27).
The victim, Marion Williams, 56, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer V. Garcia reported:
Mr. Williams, a bicyclist, was traveling eastbound on Doulton Drive and failed to yield the right of way as he went into the intersection at Martin Luther King Boulevard. He was then struck by a gray Infiniti QX56 traveling northbound on MLK Boulevard.
Paramedics transported Williams to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The male driver, 39, of the Infiniti was questioned, determined not to be intoxicated and released.
The investigation is continuing.
