Investigation into Man's Death at 4633 Knoxville

March 4, 2019 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man following an incident at 4633 Knoxville about 1:45 p.m. on Saturday (March 2).

The victim, Franklin Earl Thompson, 59, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:

Officers were called to a boarding house for the physically and mentally disabled at the above address regarding an altercation between two of the occupants at the house.  Both individuals in the fight were transported to area hospitals for a variety of injuries.

Mr. Thompson, one of the persons involved in the fight, was later pronounced deceased.  The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will conduct an autopsy to determine if his cause of death resulted from the altercation or extensive, underlying medical problems.
