Investigation into Shooting Incident at 9555 Crofton Street
May 21, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman in an apparent murder/suicide incident at 9555 Crofton Street about 4:25 p.m. on Monday (May 20).
The victims, Shamala Burks, 34, and Donald Burks, 40, were pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Sharp and J. Brown reported:
The victims were found deceased in their bedroom. Both had been shot, possibly with a pistol recovered at the scene. There were no signs of forced entry or struggle within the apartment.
It is believed this may be a murder/suicide, however the circumstances of the victims' deaths are pending further investigation.
