Invetistigation into Fatal Shooting at 7949 Fowlie Street

November 27, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male and the wounding of another male at 7949 Fowlie Street about  12:40 a.m. on Saturday (November 23).  

One male victim, Jorge Figueroa-Oviedo, 16, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  The other male victim, 19, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address where they determined two victims with gunshot wounds had been transported to an area hospital.  A preliminary investigation determined both victims were standing inside a gated yard when shots were fired by an unknown suspect(s) from inside a moving vehicle.  

Approximately two hours later,detectives learned the two males were treated at a 24-hour medical center and later transported to an area hospital for gunshot wounds.  One of the males, Mr. Figueroa-Oviedo, later died from his injuries.  The second male was admitted to the hospital for his injuries. 

The suspects are described only as two to three Hispanic males in a late model, four-door, dark-colored Nissan Altima.
