December 2, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a woman at 2101 Hayes Road about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday (December 1).  

The victim, Kyiara Galdness, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective M. Perez reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at the above address and found Ms. Galdness, who was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.  A preliminary investigation indicated Galdness met a friend at the above address.  The two then confronted a female about her involvement with Galdness' boyfriend. 

Officers learned Galdness, armed with a knife, approached the other woman and the two got into a verbal altercation.  Galdness' friend left the two women to retrieve her vehicle.  When she returned, Galdness was lying on the ground with at least one stab wound.  The unidentified female suspect had fled the scene in an unknown direction.
