Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2800 Airline Drive

December 10, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 2800 Airline Drive about 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday (December 9).  

The identity of the male victim, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer S. Le reported:  

The victim was walking southbound at the above address when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model traveling northbound on Airline Drive.  It is unclear if the victim was walking in the roadway or had stepped off the sidewalk as the vehicle passed.  The driver fled the scene without stopping to render medical assistance.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
