December 21, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8001 Kempwood Drive about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday (December 20).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer V. Garcia reported:  

The victim was driving a blue Hyundai Elantra eastbound near the above address when he struck a curb on the right side of the road and veered left into the median.  The Elantra then struck a large tree.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash.
