December 23, 2020 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the fatal shooting of a woman at 8056 Lenore Street about 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 22).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Rivera and D. Hobson reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the residence at the above address and learned the victim was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound.  Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.  Individuals inside the residence at the time reported hearing a gunshot.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the manner and cause of death.
