December 29, 2020 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man found at 660 Maxey Road about 8:30 a.m. on December 15.  

Orellana Wilmer (H/m, 35) is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court.  A booking photo of Wilmer is included in this news release.

He is accused in the shooting death of Julio Reyes, 21.  

HPD Homicide Division Detective C. Sharp reported: 

Mr. Reyes was found with an apparent gunshot wound in the living room of the residence at the above address.  Witnesses reported Reyes was last seen drinking with an unidentified Hispanic male on the night of December 14.  The next morning, witnesses found Reyes deceased and the Hispanic male missing.

Further investigation identified the suspect as Wilmer and, on December 27, he was charged with murder.  Wilmer was already in custody in the Harris County Jail for an unrelated charge.
