UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 633 Rushcreek Drive

March 2, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the stabbing of a man at 633 Rushcreek Drive about 10:30 p.m. on February 26.

The suspect, Stephen Parson (b/m, 32), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 230th State District Court for his role in the shooting of Brian Towner, 33.  A photo of Parson is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers S. Ragsdale and V. Habukiha reported:

Two males got into a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical fight.  During the fight, one of the males (Mr. Towner) was stabbed twice.  Paramedics transported him to the hospital.  The other male (Parson) remained at the scene, was detained for questioning and released pending further investigation.

A subsequent investigation resulted in charges being filed against Parson last Friday (Feb. 28).
