Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 4635 Werner Street

March 6, 2020 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found following a vehicle fire at 4635 Werner Street about 12:15 a.m. on Thursday (March 5).  

The identity and cause of death of the male are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Simmons and M. Miller and Detectives M. Arrington and D. Stark reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a suspicious vehicle fire at an apartment complex at the above address.  Houston Fire Department personnel extinguished the fire and found a male deceased in the back seat of the vehicle.  Witnesses stated the vehicle was sporadically driving in and out of the complex parking lot prior to it being set on fire.
