Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 3820 Sherwood Lane

October 1, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male that occurred at 3820 Sherwood Lane about 4 p.m. on Tuesday (June 9).  

The suspect, Eduardo Reyes, 18, is charged with manslaughter in  the 183rd State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting death of a juvenile male, 15.  

A prior photo of Reyes, who is not in custody at this time, is attached to this news release.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives B. Nabors and J. Flores reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim inside his apartment with a gunshot wound to the chest.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.  

Witnesses stated an unknown suspect, dressed in black with his face covered, entered the apartment and shot the victim.  

Further investigation identified Reyes as the suspect in this case and today (October 1) a manslaughter charge was filed against him.
