Investigation into Shooting at 8617 Martin Luther King Boulevard

October 5, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 8617 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (October 4).  

The victim, 16, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives G. Black and J. Roberts reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address after being advised by Pearland Police Department officers of the incident.  Officers learned the victim drove away from the shooting location and called for an ambulance.  

A preliminary investigation determined a party was to occur in the parking lot of the above address.  When people arrived, they were told by the promoter to leave and the event would have to be rescheduled.  An argument ensued that led to shots being fired by unknown suspects.  The victim was struck by the gunfire and transported to the hospital.  

At this time, there are no known suspects.
