Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4400 San Jacinto Street

October 12 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4400 San Jacinto Street about 11:55 a.m. on Saturday (October 10).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officer M. Barrow reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim had been shot at multiple times while walking or riding his bicycle underneath the U.S. Highway 59 overpass.  He was struck at least one time in the leg and transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect is described only as a black male, approximately six feet, three inches tall and had a thin but muscular build.  He was bald, clean-shaven, and was wearing a white T-shirt, a brown jacket, blue jeans and carrying a brown backpack.
