Investigation into Human Remains Found at 2600 Woodard Street

October 12 2020 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the investigation into human remains discovered at 2600 Woodard Street about 10:15 a.m. on Saturday (October 10).

The gender, identity, and cause of death of the deceased are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Detective S. Sylvester reported:

A land surveyor was conducted a property survey at the above address and, while walking and marking the property lines, discovered the skeletal remains.  It is unknown how and when the remains came to be in the area.

The investigation is pending results of an examination by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
