POLICE Department

Investigation into Shooting at 5002 Washington Avenue

September 30, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men at 5002 Washington Avenue about 3:55 a.m. today (Sept. 30).

One victim suffered wounds to the back, abdomen and hip and the other male was shot in the leg.  Both men are believed to be in their 20s.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers V. Habukiha, A Williams and J. Windham reported:

Two groups of males were in a verbal altercation in the parking lot of a bar at the above address when an unknown suspect retrieved a gun and fired multiple shots, striking two males.  The suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. 

Paramedics transported one of the victims to the hospital.  The other male, shot in the leg, left the scene in an unknown private vehicle.
