April 27, 2021 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another man at 7240 Long Drive that occurred about 2:45 a.m. on February 16.

Dontaee Holmes (b/m, 29) is charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 180th State District Court.  Aaron Christian Chisolm (b/m, 29) is charged with capital murder in the178th State District Court.

The victim, Mahmoud Charkawi, 42 was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  Ahmed Omran, 25, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detectives R. Rivera and D. Hobson reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a convenience store parking lot at the above address and located the victims.  Officers rendered aid to the men until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the victims to hospitals.  

At that time, it was believed the unknown suspect(s) fled the scene in a silver/gray SUV. 

Further investigation led to the identification of Holmes and Chisolm as suspects in this case.  On March 21, Holmes was arrested without incident and charged for his role in the shooting.  On April 17, Chisolm was arrested without incident and subsequently charged for his role.
