Investigation into Shooting at 410 North Sam Houston Parkway East

September 07, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men at 410 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 4:35 a.m. on Saturday (September 4).

One male was transported an area hospital in critical, but stable condition with a gunshot wound to the head.   A second male suffered gunshot wounds to both legs and was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives J. De La Torre and A. Carroll reported:

A preliminary investigation indicated a male and his girlfriend were at a nightclub at the above address and got into a verbal altercation with several males inside the club.  The argument then carried over into the parking lot and one of the males pulled out a pistol, which prompted one of the victims to also pull out a pistol.  Two other male suspects also pulled out pistols and fired shots at the victim and his girlfriend.  The victim and his girlfriend managed to get into their vehicle and, as they were driving away, one of the suspects continued shooting and struck the male victim in the head.

The victim and his girlfriend managed to drive to a gas station in the 5800 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway West where the girlfriend called 9-1-1.  The male was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.  The second male wounded in the gunfire was transported to an area hospital by private vehicle. His involvement in the incident has not yet been determined.

The suspects are described only as three unknown black males, 25 to 30 years of age.
