3rd Update: Three Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 11750 South Wilcrest Drive

April 28, 2022 - Charges have been filed against a third suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman and the wounding of two men that occurred at 11750 South Wilcrest Drive about 2:10 a.m. on January 1.

The suspect, Deandre Jordan Rivers, 29, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the in the 174th State District Court.

Another suspect, Gregory Allen, 29, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 338th State District Court.

A third suspect, Kevin Petit, 28, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 176th State District Court.

The female victim, Italia McGregor, 24, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male victims, 24 and 31 years of age, both sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call outside a club/lounge at the above address and found Ms. McGregor and two men with gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced McGregor deceased at the scene. One male victim was treated and released from an area hospital and the other male victim was treated at the scene.

Detectives learned that as the victims exited the club a verbal argument began in the parking lot. The argument escalated with multiple people involved in a fist fight. During the altercation, the suspects pulled out guns and began firing shots in multiple directions. The suspects then fled the scene.

Further investigation identified Rivers, Petit, and Allen as suspects in this case. HPD officers arrested Allen on January 6 and Petit was arrested on February 1, both without incident. The U.S. Marshals Service - Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Rivers on Wednesday (April 27). He is currently in the Harris County Jail.
