December 2, 2022 - Charges have ben filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 10110 Forum West Drive about 11:59 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 1).

The suspect, Paty Diaz-Martinez, 37, is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Diaz-Martinez is attached to this news release.

The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier reported:

HPD patrol officers conducted a welfare check at a residence located at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a bedroom. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Diaz-Martinez was in a dating relationship with the victim and shared the bedroom where he was found. The Harris County District Attorney's Office was consulted and Diaz-Martinez was charged for her role in the incident.
