December 9, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 8695 Mesa Drive about 6:10 p.m. on Thursday (December 8).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective A. Herrera reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive male in the parking lot. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.

A preliminary investigation indicated the victim had an altercation with a suspect(s) outside of a business, which led to the shooting. At this time, there is no known suspect description.
