Investigation into Fatal Fire at 7106 Hemlock Street

December 22, 2022 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of one male and one female found after a fire was extinguished at 7106 Hemlock Street about 2:40 a.m. on Thursday (December 22).

The identities of the victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective L. Kauffman reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department Arson responded to a fire at a residence at the above address. Officers were notified that HFD personnel found two deceased adults, one male and one female, inside the house.

There were no immediate signs of foul play. The investigation is pending the victims' cause of death.

At this time, the department believes there is no threat to the general public.
