December 27, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7676 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 12:55 p.m. last Friday (Dec. 23).

The victim, Luis Casillas, 29, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in a business parking lot at the above address and located Mr. Casillas suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a hospital.

Detectives are investigating the events leading up to the shooting and aiming to recover possible video footage of the incident.
