Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 301 W. Little York Road

January 18, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman that occurred at 301 West Little York Road about 4:50 a.m. on Monday (January 17).

The victims, Naryssa Wright, 26, and Malakai Williams, 21, were both pronounced deceased.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Officer T. Tyler reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment at the above address and found Ms. Wright had suffered from a gunshot wound to the head.  She was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where she was pronounced deceased.  Mr. Williams was found in a different area of the apartment and had also suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A resident of the apartment reported they heard a gunshot and saw an unknown suspect shoot Wright.  The suspect also shot at the resident and then fled the location in an unknown direction. 

The suspect is described only as a black male known as "Dre", approximately 20 years old, about 5'7" tall and 135 pounds.  He was wearing a red hoodie and light blue jeans.  His hair has long, twisted braids.
