April 10, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2900 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 9:55 p.m. on Sunday (April 9).

The identity of the deceased male, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer K. Hines reported:

The male was operating a red Honda motorcycle eastbound on the freeway near the above address and took the ramp to the Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59). The motorcyclist failed to stay in a single lane and struck a concrete retaining wall on the east side of the ramp. The male was ejected and fell to the ground below.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.

No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
