April 12, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8441 Sands Point Drive about 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday (April 11).

The identity of the victim, 83, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Providence and N. Henderson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to the above address and found the victim suffering from one gunshot wound in a bedroom. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

A family member of the victim told investigators the home's front door was unlocked when he arrived and found the victim inside. At this time there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
