April 19, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of a female at 4910 Raven Ridge Drive about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday (April 18).

The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The female victim, 20, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and D. Lunceford reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the parking lot of a school at the above address. Paramedics pronounced one male deceased with a gunshot wound and transported a female to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives learned the two victims were sitting inside a parked vehicle when a male approached them. The male on foot and the male inside the vehicle began firing shots at each other. The male in the vehicle was fatally struck and the woman was injured. The other male fled the scene on foot.

At this time, there is no known description on the wanted male.
