July 3, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7500 Abilene Street about 3:10 a.m. on Saturday (July 1).

The deceased female is identified as Sandra Rodriguez, 41.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Officer F. Flynn reported:

Ms. Rodriguez was found in a ditch outside her crashed vehicle, a black Lexus IS 300.  A preliminary investigation indicates she was driving when, for unknown reasons, the crash occurred.  Paramedics pronounced Rodriguez deceased at the scene.

A male passenger, 46, was not injured.  He provided a statement to investigators and was released.

The investigation is continuing.
