June 12, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9125 Sweetwater Lane about 4:10 p.m. on Saturday (June 10).

The identity of the deceased male, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer D. Ortega reported:

The male was operating a dirt bike southbound near the above address and approaching the intersection of Saddle Rock Drive. A black Ford Ranger pickup truck was traveling northbound on Sweetwater Lane and, as the pickup truck entered the intersection to make a westbound turn onto Saddle Rock Lane, the dirt bike struck the the right passenger side of the pickup truck. The male was ejected from the dirt bike.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The male driver, 73, of the Ford suffered minor injuries and was transported by paramedics to an area hospital. He was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
