June 13, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6400 Westheimer Road about 5:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased female, 51, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer M. Tamez reported:

The female was walking a bicycle across the roadway - not in a crosswalk - when she was struck by a red Honda Civic traveling in the eastbound lanes at the above address. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the female deceased at the scene.

The male driver, 45, was questioned, did not show signs of intoxication and was released.

No charges have been filed in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
