May 22, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 400 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 4:50 a.m. on Saturday (May 20).

The deceased male is identified as Kaleb Cantrell, 25.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer H. Nguyen reported:

Cantrell was operating a black Honda motorcycle southbound on the Southwest Freeway exit ramp and failed to maintain a single lane. He struck the outer guardrail and was ejected from the motorcycle. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
