October 9, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1300 Broadway Street that occurred about 11:15 p.m. last Friday (October 6).

The identity of the deceased male, 67, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer F. Flynn reported:

The male was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck southbound near the above address when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle jumped the curb of a wide median and struck a concrete fixture. The pickup truck continued forward and struck a tree before coming to a stop.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver deceased.

No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
