September 18, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 1333 Gears Road about 4:10 a.m. on Saturday (September 16).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
