May 21, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 800 Brisbane Street about 8:40 a.m. today (May 21).

The identity of the deceased female, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

The female was behind a green Chevrolet Tahoe parked at a cleaning station at a business at the above address. She was was cleaning the open rear hatch of the vehicle when a Ford F-150 pickup truck, in the same lane as the Chevrolet, struck her and pinned her between the vehicles. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased.

Officers questioned the male driver, 21, of the pickup truck at the scene. He stated his foot slipped off the brake of his vehicle before it struck the female. It was determined he was not impaired and he was released. No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
