April 30, 2025 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 3533 North MacGregor Way about 11:05 p.m. on April 10.

The person of interest is identified as Eugene Ray Hill Jr., 24. A photo of Hill is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Christian Rose, 19.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address and located Mr. Rose inside a vehicle. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the parking lot and say they found Rose in a vehicle.

Further investigation identified Hill as a person of interest wanted for questioning. Detectives would like to speak with him about the incident.
