HOUSTON STANDS DOWN EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER - Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020
HOUSTON - The City of Houston's Emergency Operations Center is no longer activated in response to Laura, which made landfall in Cameron, LA early this morning as a Category 4 Hurricane. There have been no reported impacts to Houston. >> MEDIA RELEASE

NO INTERRUPTION OF COLLECTION SERVICES - Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020
There will be NO INTERRUPTION to the collection schedule for this Thursday and Friday garbage and recycling services. We are encouraging all residents to secure their cans tonight as we monitor Hurricane Laura with the impact of wind and rain. Please remember to place your cans out tomorrow morning by 7 a.m. for Thursday garbage and Thursday A-week scheduled recycling services.

SECURE YOUR CART - Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020
In anticipation of the approaching weather event, please secure your City of Houston GREEN and BLACK carts. Store carts in a safe place and or securely tie them down from the possible impact of high winds.

Due to the approaching weather event the Neighborhood Depository/Recycling Centers will close TODAY at 5:00 pm.
