NCAA Final Four Safety Zones
During National Competitively Bid Events such as the NCAA Final Four, the City of Houston activates “Safety Zones.” During activation, certain activities and events not sanctioned by the producer, in this case the NCAA in cooperation with the Houston NCAA Men’s Final Four Local Organizing Committee, are prohibited within those Safety Zones by Chapter 25 of the City of Houston Code of Ordinances. Such activities and events include, but may not be limited to, street functions, street closures, erection of temporary structures, placement of temporary signage and street vending on public property and public right of way.
