MOSE Social Media Ambassadors
Are you tech savvy with social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook or Instagram? Would you like to attend events for FREE? The Mayor’s Office of Special Events (MOSE) is looking for Social Media Ambassadors to help contribute to various social media sites as well as supporting and promoting our events. As a thank you, Ambassadors will receive promo tickets to attend our civic celebrations at no charge.
The City of Houston Mayor's Office of Special Events (MOSE) produces and permits events for the City of Houston. City-wide and neighborhood festivals, dedications, inaugurations, parades, tree plantings, fun runs, galas, ground-breakings, holiday celebrations are examples of events produced by this office.
This volunteer Ambassador position will require applicants to LIKE, SHARE, and COMMENT posts on various social media channels on a weekly basis to increase reach and impressions. Ambassadors must commit to providing professional and accurate information on their personal social media pages and sign a Volunteer Initiative Waiver (.pdf).
QUALIFICATIONS: Ambassadors will be required to be online for 2 hours a week; 18 years or over; maintain ‘clean’ social media pages; be personable with an amazing sense of humor; and love love love our annual events. Interested applicants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate. Volunteers are subject to background checks.
